Where's Ben the Biker?

For Easter, Ben teamed up with some of his friends to make a "Where's Waldo" type of thing(except instead of Waldo, you find Ben) In each picture, find Ben and his bike. In one of the pictures there is also an Easter egg, and try to find a person who is in all the pictures. Here is a hint: it is a lot easier if you click on the pictures, and you can see it bigger. Good luck!

Steve's station

Today, Ben and I went to a ranger station, and visited with Steve(see the last post if you don't know who Steve is). He invited us to come and see all of the animals there. Most of them were sick or injured when Steve found them, and are now recovering. Here they are with some deer and some raccoons. It was really fun. By the way has anyone else seen Inkheart? It is really good.

Bandits in the mountains

One day, a little while after I became Ben's photographer, we were out in the mountains. Ben's tire popped so he stopped to fix it. Suddenly, bandits attacked us from behind.

They tied us up and brought us to their leader. They took my regular camera, but they didn't see my mini camera, so I was able to get a few pictures. After talking to the leader-guy, they marched us to an old, but intact medieval jail where they locked us up.

The only thing that was in it was a piece of wood, that I think was supposed to be a bed. Ben noticed a trap door on the roof, but we couldn't get out through because it was way too high. He decided he wouldn't be able to get his bike then-we saw the bandits put it in their cave. On day 33 the bandits caught another man and threw him in with us. He was a forest ranger and his name was Steve. He had some rope with him, which helped in our escape.

On our 35th night, we escaped. First Ben put the "bed" against the wall so it was standing straight. Then he climbed up onto it, and Steve climbed onto his shoulders. When Steve got onto the top, I climbed onto Ben's shoulders, got up, and threw the rope down to Ben. Then we climbed down on the rope. Then we hiked through the night to get to the nearest town. We alerted the police and with the help of the pictures I took, they were able to find the bandits without much trouble. In the cave were many objects that were stolen from hikers. The bandits confessed after being caught that when they captured Ben and I, they were going to hold us for ransom. Ben got his bike from the cave, and all of the stolen objects were returned to their owners. Steve and Ben are now great friends, and Steve invited us to come to his ranger station some time. We probably will soon, after we all recover.

New Photographer/Writer

Hi everyone! I am Ben's new writer/photographer. His other one decided to retire, but took the time to train me first. I hope that you will find my posts as interesting as his.

Trip 2

Another place Ben went to on his trip is a place in Texas with a giant cross. You can see more about it on http://www.crossministries.net/ . Another place Ben went to in Texas is the restaurant The Big Texan. At The Big Texan if you caneat a 72oz. steak dinner in one hour then you can have it for free, if you don't finish it then you have to pay $72. Ben didn't try it, but someone else did while we were there. He had to sit up on a stage to eat the meal and probably didn't finish because he had over half the steak left when there was 15 minutes left on the timer. Also, Ben recently saw Ratatouille. It's really good, just as good as most of the pixar movies, so if you haven't seen it then you should.

Trip 1

Sorry I never said anything about it before, but Ben just returned from a long bike trip to Oklahoma and back. Unfortunetly I was not able to get many pictures, but I did get a few. This picture is on the way to Oklahoma at Bluewater Lake in New Mexico. Ben stopped there to go fishing and ended up catching a huge fish. I'll post more from the trip later.

Big Race

Ben the biker won the big race yesterday! It was close, but Ben was able to come in first. I'll post some pictures from during the race.

Everyone in the race was doing something different, whatever they were best at.

The motorcycle rider took the lead at the beginning and kept it for a lot of the race.
The motorcycle rider began to get to fast and when he tried to turn he crashed. Luckily for him, the motorcycle wasn't damaged except for a tire which he had to change. He was able to change it extremely fast, but Ben was still able to get ahead.
The motorcycle caught up pretty quick and Ben had to work really hard to keep from being passed. There were also some jumps that they had to go off.
On the last stretch Ben went as fast as he could and past the finish line less then a second before the motorcycle.
